This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: United States, Texas (USA) This position will be fully remote and can be hired anywhere in the continental U.S Due to client requirements, U.S. Citizenship required. Additionally this position requires a CJIS Background Check and Fingerprinting as part of the onboarding process. The Sr. Network Security Engineer will be responsible for providing expert, day-to-day management of our clients' Palo Alto security environments. This core responsibility includes overseeing the entire lifecycle of firewall ticket triaging, policy administration, and configuration management. While the primary focus is on Palo Alto environments, this individual will also manage F5 load balancing solutions—ensuring optimal application delivery, high availability, redundancy, and seamless connection management. The ideal candidate will be a versatile security professional, capable of integrating knowledge from adjacent security domains, including the implementation of automation strategies and supporting robust cloud security initiatives. Our engineers are skilled technical and consultative resources expected to be strong in both technical and soft skills. An engineer must be driven and proactive with the ability to problem-solve, communicate, participate in diverse project teams from a technical perspective, and interface effectively with customers, vendor partners, and colleagues. Establish and maintain productive and respectful relationships with the delivery team, practice management, and client management team. How you'll make an impact • Able to solo deliver or act as "point" for complex projects or requests. • Acts as technical escalation point to assist junior engineers. • Lead in capacity planning and hardware specification recommendation efforts. • Lead in all deployment and management activities, connector configuration, custom rule development, workflow configuration and development, and third-party system integration. • Lead User Acceptance Testing and bug-related engineering efforts. • Provide knowledge transfer and post-production support activities as necessary. • Effective team communicator. • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations such as ISSA. • Obtain and maintain top-tier vendor certification and accreditation. • Complete administrative project tasks like time and expense entry, status reporting, and project completion reporting. • Act as a contributor in Optiv communities for solutions of focus. • Develop and maintain runbooks and procedural documentation. What we're hiring for • Due to client requirements, U.S. Citizenship required.
