As a leader in the Identity Engineering organization, you will drive technical direction, introduce best practices, and provide expert guidance to accelerate project delivery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless user experiences, drive subscriptions, engagement, and monetization across Disney's streaming and digital products. About the Role: As a Sr. Principal Software Engineer - Identity, you will: • Identify and introduce best practices in software engineering, architecture, and technical direction • Collaborate with engineering leaders, product managers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver technical solutions and architectures • Provide expert guidance on object-oriented programming, functional programming, and Continuous Integration and Deployment • Contribute to the development of Consumer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) capabilities across The Walt Disney Company Requirements: • Minimum 12 years of related work experience in software engineering • Familiarity with Java Virtual Machine (JVM) languages, cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure), and big data technologies (Spark, Hive, Presto) • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study Desirable Skills: • Expertise in open standards for identity management (OpenID, OpenID Connect, OAuth, SAML, LDAP) • Familiarity with Scala programming language, functional programming, and infrastructure as code (IaC) best practices What We Offer: • Competitive compensation package (hiring range: $234,400 - $314,300 per year) • Opportunity to work on high-impact projects and collaborate with talented engineers • Comprehensive benefits, including medical, financial, and other benefits How to Apply: If you are a motivated and experienced software engineer looking to join a dynamic team, please submit your application today.
