SUMMARY Reporting to the Product Director of Technology, the HealthySteps Senior Product Managers role focuses on managing the implementation, enhancement, and support for clinical data collection and reporting tools that can be used across pediatric healthcare sites. The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical data workflows , Health Information Exchange (HIE) , and product management , and will serve as a bridge between clinical teams, IT vendors, and internal stakeholders. This role requires a strong customer-centric mindset, as the individual will be primarily site and vendor-facing throughout most of their work. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Product & Project Management Oversee vendors and consultants responsible for maintaining and implementing HealthySteps products. Develop and manage product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with user needs and organizational goals. Oversee the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch. Lead the implementation of data collection and reporting tools at new and existing clinical sites. Use Agile methodologies to manage projects, track progress, and ensure timely delivery. Coordinate and lead project meetings, document outcomes, and maintain project documentation. Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering Collaborate with internal teams, clinical staff, and external partners to understand data collection and reporting needs (i.e. Research and Evaluation who develop the metrics that will be translated into data collection systems). Gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements, workflows, and system dependencies. Determine product improvements and user experience enhancements based on stakeholder feedback. Data Collection, Reporting & Quality Assurance Lead data quality assurance (QA) processes for data collection and reporting tools, developing and implementing both technical and non-technical QA plans. Collaborate with the Research & Evaluation (R&E) team to validate data accuracy and integrity. Work with HealthySteps sites to assess current data collection workflows and identify opportunities for improvement. Train site staff on data entry, reporting, and QA procedures within the data collection and reporting tools. Query data collection and reporting module to extract and analyze data for internal and external reporting needs. Compile and interpret data from multiple sources to support decision-making and compliance. System Analysis & Feature Development Analyze current systems and integrations to identify gaps and future needs. Design and test new features in data collection and reporting tools based on user feedback and clinical requirements. Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and communicate findings to IT and vendors using tools like Jira. Training & Documentation Develop and maintain user manuals, training materials and videos, and documentation. Conduct training sessions to ensure successful adoption and use of data collection and reporting tools across clinical sites. Performs other duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the program. ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in product management preferred. Agile Project Management Experience managing projects using Agile or hybrid methodologies. Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, AWS, ASANA and/or Trello Data Analysis & Reporting Proficiency in querying and analyzing clinical data (e.g., SQL, reporting tools). Ability to interpret data trends and provide actionable insights. Experience developing dashboards or custom reports for clinical stakeholders. Clinical Data Collection & Optimization Experience designing or improving data collection workflows in clinical environments. Knowledge of clinical terminologies (e.g., SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10). Ability to assess and enhance data quality, completeness, and usability. Health Information Exchange (HIE) Knowledge Understanding of HIE architecture, standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR), and interoperability protocols. Experience in integrating clinical systems (e.g., EHRs) with HIE platforms. Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA). Data & System QA Designing and executing QA plans for both technical systems and data entry processes. Identifying and resolving data integrity issues. Change Management Supporting teams through system transitions and process changes. Coaching and training users on new tools and workflows. Cross-Functional Collaboration Ability to work with clinicians, IT teams, vendors, and leadership. Skilled in translating technical concepts into user-friendly language. Training & Documentation Experience developing training materials and conducting user training. Strong documentation skills for workflows, requirements, and QA processes. EDUCATION A minimum of a bachelor’s degree required. Certification in Product Management preferred. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS This position's salary is estimated to be low $90,000s to low $100,000s depending on experience, geo-location, budget, and other comparable and similarly scoped internal positions. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is frequently required to use finger dexterity and sufficient hand dexterity to use a computer keyboard and be capable of reading a computer screen. Also, they may need to remain seated for extended periods, can perform repetitive motions, and reach for objects. An employee is frequently required to hold a writing instrument, communicate verbally, and hear well enough to detect nuances and receive detailed information. They may be required to grasp objects, push, and pull objects, bend, stand, walk, squat, or kneel. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision for data preparation or analysis, and expansive reading. May need to lift up to 30 pounds. Depending on work location, the incumbent will typically work indoors in a heated and air-conditioned office, with a mixture of natural, incandescent, and fluorescent light with low to moderate noise levels or be subject to working conditions conducive to a home environment. When travel is expected, the incumbent will be exposed to outside environmental conditions during those times.
