Sr. Scientist of In Vivo Pharmacology
About the position Legend Biotech is seeking Sr. Scientist, In-Vivo Pharmacology as part of the Research and Early Development team based in Philadelphia, PA. This position will perform preclinical in vivo pharmacology and toxicology studies to support pipeline programs. The ideal candidate will have experience in immunology or immune-oncology and in vivo studies with mouse and NHP to assist preclinical cell therapy studies from discovery to first-in-human trials. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment and would be skillful in driving multiple projects by contributing to the development of cell-based immunotherapies. Responsibilities • Conduct in vivo studies with mice and NHP; Interact with CROs for in vivo study related activities • Interact with research teams for collaboration • Process and analysis of tumor samples and tissues from mice and NHP • Acquire, analyze, summary, review and present data • Participate in assay development and qualification • Maintain good documentation in ELN, paper notebook and log books • Perform additional exploratory and investigational studies with various techniques Requirements • Ph.D. or Master degree in biological sciences (Immunology, cell biology and cancer biology) or related area is required • Extensive hands-on in vivo study experience (5+ years) is required, including various injections, bleeding, tissue collection, processing and in vivo imagining. Excellent mice tail vein intravenous injection is a must-have skill. • Extensive experience in execution of functional-based and multi-color flow cytometry based immune cell analysis is required. • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills • Sense of ownership and integrity of their work. • A demonstrated ability to work as part of a team • Demonstrated organizational skills including but not limited to attention to detail and multitasking • Biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred. Nice-to-haves • Prior experience in CAR-T/NK cell therapy is preferred.
