They are seeking a Physical Layer Standards Engineer to represent the company in standards bodies, track developments, and simulate new features that align with Synaptics' vision. Responsibilities Track and analyze the IEEE 802.11 and BT-SIG and CSA standards Communicate the new features and developments in the standards bodies to the Synaptics team Develop simulation platforms for new standards’ features Provide direction and ideas for new features that align with Synaptics road map Skills PhD in any field related to communication theory or related experience 0-2 years of experience in Wireless communication and signal processing algorithm development Strong prototyping skills using Matlab/Simulink Must have attended IEEE or other major standard body meetings in the past Strong presentation skills Fluent with Python/C/C++ and familiar with TCL Ability to travel up to 30% primarily to Standards conferences Experience with working on WiFi-based solutions is a plus Benefits Discretionary annual performance bonus Equity Other benefits Company Overview Synaptics (Nasdaq: SYNA) is changing the way humans engage with connected devices and data, engineering exceptional experiences throughout the home, at work, in the car and on the go.
