Staples New Business Development Furniture Account Executive – HiTouch Remote in United States

Compensation Range : $70K – $90K / DOE Position Summary Focused effort on developing new account business for the furniture division of HiTouch. A heavy focus on public sector accounts including, but not limited to, K-12/Higher Education, Cities/Townships/municipalities, and other entities eligible to purchase through public sector contracts. The role will also include new business development in the general commercial business segment. Primary Responsibilities • Support and act as a central point of communication to the commercial, public sector and private sector furniture accounts, while collaborating with our internal functional sales, support, and design areas, and develop relationships with our vendor partners. • Collaborate with our internal project management, design, and operations teams to provide timely resolution of all customer opportunities and/or issues. • Develop relationships with key decision makers in targeted new accounts. • Quickly develop relationships and distinct knowledge of the various Public Sector GPO’s, Commercial Buying Groups, and general furniture contracts to understand their unique go-to-market strategies, and their unique needs for various furniture lines. • Must be available to travel on occasion (30% to 50% travel) in various regions of the country to meet with clients, manufacturers, Group Purchasing Organizations, and other targeted clients or business segments. Roll will also travel to company sponsored or related events as necessary. • Manages all sales and strategies, including market competitiveness and growth strategies, with various types of business segments and industries. • Understanding of Budgeting/Forecasting to meet revenue and margin objectives. • Build customer relationships to help achieve growth and drive decisions to ensure customer relationships are successful and beneficial to both parties. • Maintains a culture where all third-party vendor partners are complying with HiTouch expectations. • Must have a minimum of 3 years of commercial furniture sales experience. • Conduct market research with your team members and sellers to understand industry dynamics by market area. • Evaluate, document, resolve and follow-up on customer complaints within a timely manner. • Attend regularly scheduled calls with your manager, the RSD New Business Development, and teams calls to gain insight strategies and inspiration from your manager and coworkers. • Participate in virtual meetings with clients, manufacturers, service providers, and all other internal teams members to discuss current and future challenges and opportunities for better internal and external customer support as well as peripheral training with our manufacturer partners. • Any assigned duties as required.
