Become a part of a high-impact procurement team as an entry-level Strategic Sourcing Analyst I - an opportunity with strong career development potential. This role will support our Member Transportation and Personal Emergency Response System procurement team. In these Strategic Sourcing Specialist I role, you will: • Lead and support contract negotiations; Work with business, procurement management and legal through the contracting process. • Develop and execute Request for Information and Request for Proposals (RFI, RFP) to gain understanding of market dynamics and supplier’s position within the market • Lead tactical negotiations on small impact contract, with support on strategy, technique and messaging • Connect with internal customers to identify business needs and develop scope of project • Understand and communicate SS&P goals and objectives and how the standard strategic sourcing process supports these goals and objectives • Performs other duties as assigned • Complies with all policies and standards Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience. 1+ years of experience in project management or negotiations Preferred Qualifications: • Healthcare or government procurement experience • Strong understanding of sourcing, contracting, and vendor onboarding • Skilled in contract drafting, negotiations, and category management • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills • Proficient in Word, including redlining documents • Collaborates well with teams and business partners Applicants for this role have the flexibility to work remotely from home anywhere within the continental United States. Due to the needs of the business, ideal schedule is CST. Pay Range: $55,100.00 - $99,000.00 per year Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
