Structural Engineer Program Manager (Contingent)

Structural Engineer Job Description We are seeking a qualified Structural Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the design of various structural systems for buildings. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities Design & Analysis Design structural systems for commercial and industrial buildings Familiarity and the capacity to review and direct structural analysis using industry-standard software (SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, etc.) Review calc packages, loads, stresses, and deflections for various structural elements Review structural drawings, specifications, and construction details Ensure designs comply with local building codes and industry standards Project Management Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers throughout project lifecycle Review and approve shop drawings and submittals Conduct site visits and inspections during construction phases Provide technical support and resolve field issues Prepare progress reports and project documentation Ensure all work meets quality standards and regulatory requirements Participate in peer reviews and design validation processes Stay current with building codes, standards, and industry best practices Required Qualifications Education & Licensing Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or ability to obtain within 2 years Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred Experience Minimum 3-5 years of structural engineering experience Experience with steel, concrete, wood, and masonry design Proficiency in structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, etc.) Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting software Technical Skills Strong knowledge of building codes (IBC, AISC, ACI, etc.) Understanding of seismic and wind load analysis Familiarity with sustainable design principles Excellent mathematical and analytical skills Strong problem-solving abilities Soft Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects Strong attention to detail and accuracy Team collaboration and leadership capabilities Client-facing Experience Preferred Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) LEED accreditation or other sustainability certifications Experience with post-disaster structural assessments Advanced degree or specialized certifications Contract Length: 6 Months Location: remote (EST hours) Pay Range: $70 - $77 per hour AGS is an equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer (M/F/Disability/Veterans).
