Structural Engineer, WTP

They are seeking a Structural Engineer for the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant project, where the role involves originating and checking structural engineering deliverables and coordinating with other engineering disciplines. Responsibilities Participates in the design, development, modification, and evaluation of Civil/Structural components and processes Compiles, adjusts, and correlates data that will develop professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard Civil/Structural engineering techniques, procedures and criteria utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs) and Design Control Check List (DCCL) and Design Review Notices (DRNs) Prepares or participates in preparation of construction drawings, project schedules, graphic presentations, civil drawings, steel and concrete calculations, and material requisitions Checks manufacturers’ drawings and data for compliance with specification and design drawings Designs or participates in design for minor structures and portions of buildings Provides input to and/or maintains technical logs and records Coordinates work and collaborates with other engineering disciplines Coordinates development and presentation of material when requested Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals Assists in constructability reviews Skills University Hire with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience Must be authorized to work and remain in the United States without Bechtel visa sponsorship now and in the future Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check which includes verification of employment and education Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site.
