The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is seeking a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist (Information Systems) to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting our mission of helping people before, during, and after disasters. In this role, you will lead a team of HR specialists and collaborate with our IT professionals to develop and implement effective HR systems and processes. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong background in HR and information systems, as well as exceptional leadership skills. Join us and make a difference in the lives of those affected by disasters. Lead and supervise a team of HR specialists in the development and implementation of HR systems and processes. Collaborate with IT professionals to ensure HR systems are integrated and aligned with overall organizational objectives. Develop and maintain HR databases and information systems to support efficient and accurate record-keeping. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to HR information systems and make recommendations for improvement. Train and educate HR staff on how to effectively use HR information systems and troubleshoot any issues that arise. Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with HR policies and procedures. Work closely with senior management to identify and address any HR system-related issues or concerns. Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of HR processes through automation and technology. Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to HR information systems, and make adjustments as needed. Provide guidance and support to HR staff in the use of HR systems, including resolving complex technical issues. Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive HR information and ensure compliance with data protection regulations. Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions to improve overall HR operations. Conduct regular training and development sessions for HR staff to ensure they are up to date on the latest HR information systems and processes. Act as a liaison between HR and IT departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
