Tax Accountant, CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent w/ 1041 Experience - Must be in FL
Daniel Rosefelt & Associates, PLLC dba Rosefelt Tax Law is a nationally recognized tax controversy law firm based out of the Washington, DC Metro area and Florida. We are a multi-disciplinary team of Attorneys, Tax Accountants and other tax professionals led by a dual licensed Attorney-CPA. We represent individuals, businesses, estates, and trusts with unfiled returns, unreported offshore assets, IRS audits, and various other tax controversy issues. We are looking for a tax accountant, CPA, or Enrolled Agent with significant trust and estate tax accounting and return preparation experience (1041's and 706's). Applicant should also have experience preparing final decedent 1040 tax returns. Experience preparing complex 1040, 1120-S, and 1065 returns will be a plus. In this role, you will assist with tax accounting, tax preparation, and provide support to the firm's Attorney-CPA and other tax Attorneys as necessary. This role is remote, however applicants must be located in Florida. Skills and Requirements: • Accounting degree, active CPA license, or active IRS Enrolled Agent license (JD will be a plus) • Minimum 5 years’ experience in tax accounting and/or tax preparation work • Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a remote virtual environment • Requires excellent communication and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Zoom, etc.) • Proficient in QuickBooks and tax preparation software • Effective communicator that enjoys speaking with clients and collaborating with team members • Eager and able to learn topics and information (relating to tax controversy) Responsibilities: • Preparation of estate, trust, and final decedent tax returns (1041's, 706's, etc.) • Federal and state tax return preparation for individuals and entities • Assist with submission of tax filings • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and records • Organize tasks and employ effective time management to move cases forward • Assist Attorney-CPA and tax Attorneys with tax preparation aspects related to resolving client tax controversy issues • Follow instructions and understand the importance of policies and procedures Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance • Work from home Application Question(s): • Please list the name(s) of which tax preparation software you are trained in: Experience: • Estate or Trust tax accounting: 5 years (Preferred) • Estate or Trust Tax Return Preparation: 5 years (Preferred) License/Certification: • Accounting degree, CPA License, or EA License (Required) Location: • Florida (Required) Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job
