I am seeking a US-based Tax Attorney or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to provide expert representation regarding my 2024 federal tax return. The candidate must be able to identify errors in the original filing, manage all communication with the IRS, and develop a defense strategy to resolve an outstanding balance. Core Requirements Licensure: Must hold an active license as either a Tax Attorney or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Location: Must be based in the United States. Authorization: Must have the legal authority to sign Form 2848 (Power of Attorney) to represent me fully before the IRS. Key Responsibilities 2024 Return Audit: Review my 2024 tax return and supporting documents to pinpoint exactly why the IRS claims a balance is owed. IRS Correspondence: Review and interpret the specific IRS letter received and manage all future communication as the primary intermediary. Strategic Resolution: Analyze the case to determine the most effective defense strategy, including: Filing an Amended Return to correct errors. Negotiating a Settlement (Offer in Compromise or Penalty Abatement). Formally Disputing the IRS findings through the appeals process. Direct Advocacy: Protect my interests in all discussions with IRS agents or officers. Qualifications & Skills Deep knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code and IRS procedural manuals.
