The Meta Product Technical Program Management (TPM) community is pioneering technologies to bring people closer together at a global scale. Product TPMs work at the cross-section between technical execution and business strategy and partner closely with Engineering and Product teams. We’re looking for experienced Technical Program Manager to lead multiple programs across User Embodiment, Avatars, and new AI initiatives. In this role, you’ll be responsible for defining and guiding high-level goals and roadmaps, integrating technologies across multiple domains, defining functional requirements for new products and features, and communicating across a wide variety of partners. You will be leading technical execution on features that span across Facebook, Instagram, genAI, Horizon, Quest, and Metaverse products. You will play a key role identifying new feature needs and driving execution across a wide variety of product surfaces. We’re looking for TPMs with a proven track record of integrating complex systems-of-systems at scale. This role will have the opportunity to work closely with world-class development teams and leaders across the organization to deliver new experiences.Technical Program Manager, Avatars Integration Responsibilities Develop and manage complex, end-to-end product solutions and ensure on-time delivery Help define the roadmap and long-term strategy of the teams that you are working with Design measurements to track impact and drive internal process improvements Manage cross-functional products and programs in a matrix organization Identify risks and build options to balance technical challenges with business needs Identify dependencies and develop mitigation strategies Resolve conflicts, maintain clarity on priorities and drive progress on execution Ongoing communication of planning, project status, issues and risks in a timely fashion to stakeholders Lead complex execution across multiple teams in different time zones Minimum Qualifications B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience 7+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, Engineering Program Manager, Systems Engineer, Systems Integrator, Software Engineer, Quality Assurance, Engineering Tester, or Product Manager (or equivalent experience managing software products from inception to launch) Experience delivering technical programs or products from inception to delivery Experience leading execution across highly ambiguous, complex products and programs, balancing business needs and technical constraints Effective communication skills across a wide variety of disciplines, experience levels, and technical/non-technical backgrounds Experience implementing machine learning algorithms, agentic AI, or similar Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional programs in a matrix organization Experience working under your own initiative, seeking feedback and input where appropriate Demonstrated risk management experience Preferred Qualifications Experience with mobile or game development Experience with Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar Experience working with technical art & modeling tools such as Maya, Houdini, Blender, 3Ds Max, Arnold, RenderMan, or Cycles Experience with AI and/or AI tooling in a game development context Experience integrating products with AI models such as Llama, Claude, Gemini, GPT, Grok, or equivalent For those who live in or expect to work from California if hired for this position, please click here for additional information. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
