Technical Trainer – Global Data Center Security Systems

Overview The Technical Trainer will play a critical role in strengthening the capabilities of audit and project management teams responsible for reviewing physical security systems across a global data center portfolio. This role focuses on developing and delivering training related to electrical and electronic security components—including cameras, access control devices, gates, intrusion detection, and supporting infrastructure—to ensure consistent, high?quality evaluations and compliance across regions globally. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To Training Development & Delivery • Design, develop, and deliver technical training programs for audit and project managers reviewing physical security systems in data centers worldwide. • Create structured learning paths covering system architecture, device functionality, installation standards, commissioning requirements, and common failure modes. • Conduct live virtual sessions, in?person workshops, and asynchronous training modules tailored to varying levels of technical expertise. • Translate complex engineering concepts into clear, practical guidance for non?engineer audiences. Subject Matter Expertise • Serve as an internal expert on electrical and electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, perimeter gates, sensors, and related power and network infrastructure. • Maintain up?to?date knowledge of global standards, vendor technologies, and industry best practices. • Provide consultative support to audit teams during reviews, helping interpret technical findings and identify risk areas. Quality & Consistency • Develop standardized checklists, job aids, and reference materials to ensure consistent evaluation of security systems across regions. • Partner with global audit leads to identify recurring issues and incorporate lessons learned into training content. • Support continuous improvement of audit methodologies by integrating technical insights and field feedback. Cross?Functional Collaboration • Work closely with engineering, security operations, construction, and compliance teams to ensure training aligns with current design standards and operational requirements. • Coordinate with regional stakeholders to adapt training to local regulations, environmental conditions, and vendor ecosystems. • Participate in global initiatives to enhance physical security readiness and operational excellence. Program Management • Track training participation, competency development, and performance outcomes. • Maintain a global training calendar and ensure timely updates to materials as standards evolve. • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and field performance metrics. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Strong technical background in electrical, electronic, or physical security systems. • Experience in data center environments or other mission?critical facilities. • Experience with CCTV, access control, gates/barriers, sensors, and related infrastructure. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts. • Experience working in global or multi?site environments. • Instructional design experience or training certifications (e.g., CompTIA CTT+, ATD). • Ability to travel internationally as needed. Compensation range for position is $ 117,000 – 140,000 DOE.
