Provide expert nursing care on a specialized cardiac telemetry unit dedicated to patients requiring advanced cardiac monitoring and treatment. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work in a dynamic, team-oriented setting equipped with state-of-the-art telemetry technology and a diverse patient population. Candidates must be skilled in cardiac telemetry and ACLS-certified to ensure exceptional patient outcomes. Location: Manchester, NH Unit Overview: • 23-bed Med-Surg Cardiac Medical Unit with 1 treatment room • Staff includes day and night shifts with charge nurses, RNs, patient care techs, and medical techs • Patient ratios: 1:4 (day/evening), 1:5 (night) • Tools and equipment: telemetry monitoring (wired and wireless), vein finders, pulse oximetry, mechanical lifts, dopplers, and EMR system with medication scanning • Patient population: medically stable MI, acute/chronic heart failure, arrhythmias including afib, cardiac post-procedure patients (caths, ablations, cardioversions), patients on cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Diltiazem, dopamine, dobutamine, milrinone, Lasix, insulin), ICU transfers, neurological and pulmonary cases Responsibilities: • Deliver bedside care aligned with telemetry monitoring and cardiac treatment protocols • Monitor and manage patients on multiple cardiac drips and telemetry equipment • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support cardiac procedural patients • Adhere to unit policies including weekend rotations every other weekend and potential on-call duties • Maintain infection control and documentation standards within EMR Qualifications: • Current RN licensure • Proficient in cardiac telemetry monitoring and management • ACLS certification (mandatory) • Experience with cardiac procedural patients and cardiac drips • Strong medical-surgical background preferred • Flexible, engaging, patient-centered approach This contract role requires adaptability and clinical expertise in cardiac care within a supportive, technology-enabled environment.
