Underwriting Auditor II (Stop Loss)

Summary Responsible for providing a full range of risk, compliance, and operational underwriting audits. ( business advisory and consultation services, investigations, internal controls, accountability, and use of resources.) Description Location : This position is full-time(40-hours/week) Remote. Position Purpose: Oversees a full range of risk, compliance, and operational underwriting audits, including business advisory and consultation services, investigations, evaluation of internal controls, and oversight of accountability and resource utilization. What You'll Do: In this role, you will assist with, conduct, and administer underwriting audits for both internal and external partners’ non-major medical and stop loss business. You will evaluate partner activities, prepare detailed case-level reports, and lead review processes to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and adherence to business best practices. Communicate with partners, monitor annual audit plan schedules and follow up on progress to meet department objectives. Assist or lead on-site and remote audit projects to ensure objectives are met. Conduct special audit requests for senior management. Create and review audit reports; discuss findings with partners. Periodic travel for audits within the U.S. will be required. To Qualify For This Position, You'll Need The Following: Required Education: Bachelor's Degree Equivalency : 4 years job related work experience or Associate's and 2 years job related work experience Required Work Experience: 5 Years underwriting experience. Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent organizational, customer service, oral and written communication skills. Excellent mathematical, analytical and critical thinking skills. Good judgment. Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion. Proficient spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Extensive knowledge of underwriting and risk principles and their application. Required Software and Other Tools: Microsoft Office. We Prefer That You Have The Following: Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree-Accounting, Finance, Business or Healthcare Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field Preferred Work Experience: 7 Years-underwriting experience. Preferred Skills and Abilities: Insurance course work in FLMI, HIAA, or BCA.
