Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Operations Research Analyst to join our team in Newark. As an Operations Research Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and implementing analytical models and solutions to drive business outcomes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify complex problems, develop and deploy solutions, and communicate results to stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement methodologies and strategies to define and solve management problems through quantitative analysis and analytical models using operations research, artificial intelligence, and structured programming languages. Identify, investigate, and solve large complex problems using big data and operations research and AI principles. Apply understanding of the business process to identify and implement operations research solutions that will result in significant bottom-line contributions. Build and develop operations research/advanced mathematical model applications, and provide client support using operations research expertise. Participate in model design, model development, and model testing for multiple projects simultaneously, and communicate with product delivery teams. Escalate concerns when the scope of analysis may not align with the time available and adjust the scope of analysis to lead to a suitable return on investment. Develop analytical solutions, test hypotheses, and understand limitations of analysis. Work closely with stakeholders to gather data and insights. Identify solution quality risks and on-time opportunities. Understand the business value, process, and expectations before focusing on the choice of a technical solution. Provide ongoing analytical services to client organizations. Communicate results to management and clients. Contribute to deck content and assemble the story for the deck with guidance to summarize findings. Develop and deliver presentations aligned with AI standards. Stay informed about the latest scientific techniques and research in the operations research and analytics fields. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Postgraduate education (PhD or ABD) in Operations Research or a related quantitative discipline. Coursework or work experience with numerical programming methods. Coursework or work experience in model prototyping through the utilization of optimization toolkits (e.g., CPLEX, AMPL, or OPL). Coursework or work experience with C, C++, Java, R, Python, or other structured programming languages. Excellent business, technical, verbal/written communication, presentation, and sales skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with clients. Proficient with MS Office. Reliable and dependable attendance is a fundamental requirement of the position. Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in the aviation industry. Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence principles. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Strong knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
