As an Elementary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment, providing instruction, support, and guidance to students, managing the learning process, and focusing on individual student needs. Key Responsibilities Provides rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students, utilizing a range of digital tools and platforms to promote student engagement and motivation. Demonstrates a commitment to personalizing learning for all students, using data-driven instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students. Differentiates instruction based on student level of mastery, using a range of teaching strategies and techniques to support student learning and progress. Maintains accurate and up-to-date grade books, ensuring student academic integrity, and makes informed decisions about student placement and promotion. Prepares students for high-stakes standardized tests, using a range of test preparation strategies and techniques to support student success. Communicates regularly with students, parents, and learning coaches, providing timely feedback and support to ensure student success and progress. Collaborates with other teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data, using this data to drive instructional decisions and improve student outcomes. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field. Active state teaching license in Michigan. Ability to clear required background check. Endorsements in Elementary Education. Residency requirement: Must be a Michigan resident. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience working with the proposed age group (elementary students). Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology. Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment. Experience with online learning platforms and digital tools.
