About the Role As a Part Time Southwest Airline Software Engineer with MySmartPros, you will play a critical role in driving the preparation and execution of the Southwest Business Help program, as well as supporting the Southwest Business Client Relationship The executives (CRM) Group. You will work closely with Southwest Business to translate business needs into requirements for our Innovation Groups to carry out. Key Responsibilities: • Apply knowledge and skills of programming development and testing effectively to solve a range of issues • Work closely with other engineers in the team to hoist technology and consistently apply best practices • Collaborate intimately with clients and cross-functional offices to deliver project situations with recommendations • Record every aspect of a system or application as a kind of perspective for future upgrades and maintenance • Determine and survey the requirements of the client and then create software to meet the requirements • Identify and resolve issues that arise during the design, testing, and support processes using critical thinking skills • Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software • Prepare and present solutions by determining and scheduling system specifications, standards, and software • Coach junior individuals in the team • Improve and extend technical skills by continuing education through reading, studios, meetings, or potentially networks of training • May perform other work obligations as directed by Employee's Chiefs Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field • Middle knowledge of programming development techniques, practices, concepts, and technologies gained through formal training and/or work experience • Ability to demonstrate consistent knowledge application, skills of programming development, and testing to solve a range of issues • Transitional knowledge of at least one required programming language Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working in an agile environment • Knowledge of CRM systems and software development • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Experience coaching or mentoring junior team members Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks • Ability to take on multiple projects and responsibilities while maintaining a high level of productivity Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Southwest Airlines, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their skills.
