This full-time position (32 hours/week) will involve working varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, with opportunities for shift differential pay. As a Veterinary Customer Services Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional front-line client services, responding to routine and complex situations, and maintaining accurate records in our hospital computer system. **Key Responsibilities** * Respond to routine, complex, and medical emergency situations in a professional manner * Answer and direct internal and external calls appropriately * Create accurate day-to-day admitting information through our hospital computer system * Resolve routine problems and complex situations using medical terminology, office practices, and established customer service principles * Maintain safe and accurate money handling practices and abide by all university privacy standards * Perform other duties as assigned **Qualifications** * 2 years of experience in a customer service, healthcare, or veterinary care environment * Background in customer services, insurance verification, and/or veterinary practice customer services * Ability to work in a self-directed manner while interacting with customers, visitors, clinicians, technicians, and all other medical center faculty and staff * Experience in analyzing and interpreting information * Experience with electronic medical records systems and/or at least experience operating computers **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working in a veterinary hospital or clinic * Knowledge of medical terminology and veterinary procedures * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent customer service skills * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information * Experience with electronic medical records systems and/or at least experience operating computers **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** As a Veterinary Customer Services Representative at blithequark, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and advance your career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
