About the Role As a Virtual Care Assistant, you’ll combine your medical background with compassionate communication to help patients navigate their prescriptions, follow-up questions, and care coordination. You’ll collaborate closely with our pharmacy and customer support teams to ensure every patient receives timely, accurate, and empathetic support. This is an ideal role for a Medical Assistant, CNA, or LPN who enjoys patient interaction and wants to use their clinical knowledge in a remote, technology-forward environment. What You’ll Do • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, offering friendly, empathetic support through chat, email, and phone. • Review patient inquiries, help with refill coordination, and ensure next steps are clearly communicated. • Collaborate with pharmacists, medical providers, and customer support teams to streamline patient care. • Document patient interactions accurately and professionally in our system. • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold all HIPAA compliance standards. • Support internal workflows to help EllieMD deliver the best-in-class patient experience. What We’re Looking For • Certified Medical Assistant, CNA, or LPN (active or recent license preferred). • Prior customer service or telehealth experience is a plus. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — warmth and clarity matter here. • Tech-savvy, organized, and confident working across multiple systems. • A genuine passion for helping others feel supported in their healthcare journey.
