We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Virtual Registered Nurse RN to join our team on a part-time basis, working onsite and collaborating with our healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care. About Our Virtual Connected Care Model Our Virtual Connected Care model represents a significant shift in how we deliver care, utilizing advanced camera technology to connect Virtual RNs with patients in their rooms. This innovative approach enables detailed examinations and real-time support to direct care nurses, ensuring that our patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care. As a Virtual RN, you will be an integral part of this model, working closely with our healthcare team to mentor, support, and educate patients and staff alike. Key Responsibilities Provide virtual support to direct care nurses and patients through advanced camera technology, conducting detailed examinations and assessments as needed. Mentor and support direct care nurses in patient care, promoting best practices and professional development. Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), with preference for EPIC experience, to document patient information, track care plans, and communicate with the healthcare team. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, ensuring comprehensive and patient-centered care. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, leveraging your expertise to enhance patient outcomes and care delivery processes. Engage in ongoing education and professional development to stay abreast of the latest clinical practices, technologies, and industry trends. Qualifications and Requirements Essential Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university-affiliated nursing program. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Connecticut. BLS certification. A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in health condition management, including adult condition management and hospital experience. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), with EPIC experience preferred. Preferred Qualifications BSN degree. Specialty credentialing or educational degree in a clinical nursing practice specialty area. Previous experience in a virtual or telehealth setting.
