VP, Medical Economics & Payer Contracting

Responsibilities: • Design and build detailed financial and economic analyses to evaluate contract performance, payer mix, and reimbursement opportunities. • Develop and maintain strong client relationships by delivering reliable solutions and aligning with client priorities. • Lead payer contracting engagements, from project planning through negotiations and stakeholder alignment, to achieve optimal contract outcomes. • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and communications to influence strategic decision-making. • Ensure quality control and timely delivery of all work products, maintaining the highest firm standards. • Develop tools and methodologies to standardize service offerings and drive efficiency. • Mentor junior consultants, contribute to recruiting efforts, and help shape internal training programs. • Support business development initiatives and proposal preparation, including identifying follow-on opportunities. Must-Have Skills: • Minimum 8 years of experience in medical economics and payer contracting, with at least 2 years in a consulting environment. • Demonstrated success in leading client engagements and managing senior stakeholder relationships. • Advanced Excel-based financial modeling and in-depth claims analysis skills. • Strong understanding of healthcare finance, operations, and industry trends. • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. • Exceptional communication skills, including proficiency with PowerPoint. • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary teams in fast-paced settings. • Willingness and ability to travel as needed for client engagements. Nice-to-Have Skills: • Experience supporting business development initiatives and proposal writing. • Background in developing proprietary tools or methodologies for analytics and process enhancement. • Expertise in Medicare Advantage and Managed Medicaid payer contracting. • Exposure to working cross-functionally with revenue cycle management, operations, and finance professionals. • Experience mentoring and training junior staff or consultants.
