Job SummaryWe're looking for an exceptional individual to lead our Ethical AI Data Science Research team. As our VP, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that ensure the responsible development of AI products, while driving innovation and growth within our organization. Your expertise in AI ethics, data science, and leadership will be instrumental in shaping our company's vision and values. Key Responsibilities• Develop and implement strategies for responsible AI development, ensuring alignment with our company's ethical use and responsible AI principles.• Research and identify tools and methods to mitigate AI risks, and develop innovative solutions to address these challenges.• Cultivate a culture of ethical AI practices within our organization, mentoring and instructing colleagues on responsible AI standard methodologies.• Represent our company and AI Research team to internal and external stakeholders, including executives, employees, customers, and industry forums.• Lead a Research Data Science team, driving results, defining product requirements, and guiding the team through key achievements.• Develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including design, legal, and engineering.RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you'll need:Essential Qualifications• A Master's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Social or Applied Sciences, or a related field.• 10+ years of relevant experience in AI ethics, AI research, Security, Trust & Safety, or similar roles.• Validated leadership, organizational, and execution skills.• Passion for developing innovative AI ethics technology and deploying it through a multi-stakeholder approach.• Experience working in a technical environment with a broad, cross-functional team.• Outstanding leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including articulating technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.Preferred Qualifications• PhD in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Engineering, Data Science, or quantitative Social Sciences.• Published research on algorithmic fairness, accountability, and visibility, especially detecting and mitigating bias or AI safety.What We OfferAs our VP, of Ethical AI Data Science Research and Innovation Strategist, you'll enjoy a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for career growth and professional development.
