VP of Supply Chain
Our client is a consumer goods company focused on delivering quality products. They are looking to add a VP of Supply Chain to their team to help ensure supply chain and operational success. Salary/Hourly Rate: $300k - $350k plus bonus Position Overview: The VP of Supply Chain will provide strategic leadership for end-to-end supply chain operations across North America. This role carries full P&L accountability and is responsible for driving operational excellence, cost optimization, and supply chain resilience across diverse production lines. Overseeing procurement, production, logistics, and customer service, the VP of Supply Chain ensures seamless integration and efficiency of all functions. As a key member of the executive leadership team, this individual will play a critical role in aligning supply chain strategy with business objectives and shaping the company’s long-term growth trajectory. Responsibilities of the VP of Supply Chain: • Create and carry out supply chain strategies that meet company goals. • Partner with Finance, Sales, R&D, and Quality to keep operations aligned. • Lead and support supply chain leaders while planning for future talent needs. • Manage manufacturing, logistics, and procurement with clear performance goals. • Promote Lean, Six Sigma, and other improvement methods to cut costs and improve efficiency. • Oversee ERP and other system upgrades to improve visibility and decision-making. • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, including contract negotiation and performance management. • Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and other regulatory requirements. • Support sustainability efforts by reducing waste, energy use, and carbon impact. • Travel about 50% of the time to East Coast manufacturing plants to ensure operations meet company standards. Required Experience/Skills for the VP of Supply Chain: • 15+ years of supply chain leadership experience, ideally in food/beverage or consumer goods. • Strong background in procurement, logistics, manufacturing, and supplier management. • Proven results in improving efficiency, cutting costs, and supporting growth. • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar improvement tools. • Solid leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop teams. • Strong financial and negotiation skills. • Willingness to travel 50% of the time to East Coast plants. Preferred Experience/Skills for the VP of Supply Chain: • Experience leading supply chain digital transformation. • Familiarity with international supply chain operations. • Experience establishing new manufacturing plants. Education Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. • MBA is preferred but not required.
