Web Content Writer

We’re looking for a Web Content Writer (Contract) who loves turning complex ideas into clear, engaging web experiences. You’ll help shape how the client shows up online by writing copy that connects with readers, performs in search, and reflects our brand voice. This is a writing first role focused on creating and refining high quality web content that’s purposeful, readable, and results driven. The ideal candidate is a strong digital storyteller who’s collaborative, organized, and comfortable working in a fastmoving environment with multiple stakeholders. You’ll work side by side with content strategists, designers, web teams, and SEO specialists to make sure every page reads clearly, looks right, and performs well. Familiarity with AI tools for drafting, summarization, research, or optimization is a plus. This role is all about words, not code. You’ll focus on writing and refining content within established templates and workflows. What You’ll Do Writing & Editing Write, edit, and optimize web copy for pages, landing pages, and digital experiences based on approved briefs and strategies. Make web pages easy to read by making them clear, scannable, and consistent across all pages. Apply SEO best practices including keyword alignment, metadata recommendations, and internal linking. Collaborate with Content Strategists to align messaging with audience needs, search intent, and campaign goals. Translate technical or product details into accessible, audience appropriate language that builds understanding and trust. Content Production & Collaboration Partner with Web and Design teams to ensure copy is implemented accurately within page templates and components. Review published pages for clarity, accuracy, and alignment with brand and editorial guidelines. Support ongoing content refreshes and updates based on performance insights, stakeholder feedback, or product changes. Follow established content standards, style guides, and governance processes to keep everything consistent and on brand. Performance & Optimization Support Track and support content performance optimization using SEO insights and analytics provided by strategists or partners. Ensure content is structured, tagged, and stored for reuse and future iteration. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field (preferred). 4+ years of experience writing web or digital marketing content. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with sharp attention to tone, clarity, and consistency. Familiarity with SEO writing best practices for web content. Proven ability to collaborate across content, design, marketing, and web teams. Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fastpaced environment. A clear communicator who’s open to feedback and iteration. Experience using AI writing or editing tools as part of your workflow (preferred). Comfort working with JIRA or similar workflow systems. Preferred but Not Required Experience writing for B2B, SaaS, or technical audiences. Familiarity with accessibility aware writing (plain language, descriptive links, alt text guidance). Experience optimizing existing content based on performance data. Exposure to content audits or governance processes.
