YouTube Shorts Editor (Gen Z Energy + Viral Instincts)
• *YouTube Shorts Editor (Gen Z Energy + Viral Instincts)** We’re looking for a **super creative, Gen Z–native YouTube Shorts editor** who *lives* on Shorts, TikTok, and Reels and understands **how to make people stop scrolling**. This is **NOT** a basic editing role. We’re looking for someone with **story instincts**, comedy timing, and the confidence to cut aggressively. • *About Us** We run multiple teen-focused YouTube channels (including a fast-growing podcast). Our content is fun, chaotic, adventurous, and personality-driven. Think: awkward moments, confessions, reactions, and “we probably shouldn’t say this” energy. • *What You’ll Do** • Cut **5–7 YouTube Shorts per episode** • Identify the *best* moments (we won’t spoon-feed timestamps) • Create Shorts that hook in the **first 1 second** • Cut tight (7–20 seconds is ideal) • End on tension, awkwardness, or a punch — not explanations • *This Role Is For You If** • You understand YouTube Shorts ≠ long-form editing • You know when to cut *before* the joke finishes • You’re confident cutting mid-sentence • You think in hooks, reactions, and moments — not transitions • You actively watch Shorts/TikTok and know current pacing trends • *This Is NOT For You If** • You prefer “clean,” slow, or overly polished edits • You need heavy direction for every cut • You think context always needs to be explained • *Requirements** • Proven experience editing **YouTube Shorts or TikToks** • Portfolio with Shorts that feel fast, funny, or dramatic • Ability to deliver **5–7 Shorts per episode** • Comfortable working with teen/Gen Z humor and tone • *How to Apply** 1. Share 2–5 Shorts you’ve edited (links required) 2. Tell us *why* you chose those moments 3. Briefly explain what makes a Short go viral **right now** If you’re the kind of editor who *knows* when a moment is special — we want you. Apply tot his job
