(20hrs/week, No Cash-Equity Only) AI Automation Engineer/ Data Analyst to Learn for Exciting Startup
About Us: We’re a small AI startup doing some pretty interesting things. We’re not just talking about AI. We’re actually building and using agents to solve real problems for industries like cannabis, healthcare, and more. Our tools will help consumers make smarter decisions and help companies understand what people truly want. We’re scrappy and fast-moving. The team is led by a serial entrepreneur with past successful exits. Right now we’re heads down building, testing, and getting ready for funding. If you join now, you won’t just manage tasks. You’ll help shape the product and the company’s direction. This position doesn’t pay a salary yet. If you need cash right away, this isn’t the role. But if you have time and dedication, the equity and experience could be huge. The Role: I’m looking for someone excited about building automations and AI agents, not just crunching numbers. Someone who gets a kick out of connecting APIs, scraping data, and setting up tools that make humans unnecessary for repetitive tasks. We’re going to be using tools like n8n.io for automations and workflows, Gemini and DeepSeek for advanced AI reasoning, Veo 3 for next-gen AI capabilities, and other bleeding-edge AI tools we’re experimenting with. This is 20 hours a week (flexible schedule), equity only for now (it depends on when we raise funding but assume you can work part time for a year without pay), with a future paid leadership role once we land funding or major clients. We don’t want someone who just does what’s assigned. We need someone who takes ownership. When you see a way to automate something that saves time or directly drives revenue, you run with it. F1 students that can do a year without pay are welcome to apply. What You’ll Be Doing: • Digging into datasets to guide product decisions • Connecting APIs and building automation flows • Developing and testing AI agents that handle real-world tasks • Experimenting with AI tools to push what’s possible • Working directly with me and our developers to design scalable systems • Thinking like a founder and figuring out how every task you touch can move the needle What You’ll Get: • Equity in a high-potential AI startup • A big say in product design and automation strategy • Hands-on experience with tools like n8n.io, Gemini, DeepSeek, Veo 3, and more • A future paid role once we’re funded or cash-flow positive • Real startup experience that makes you incredibly valuable in the AI world Who You Are: • Curious and resourceful, you don’t wait for instructions to solve problems • Comfortable committing 20 hours a week for at least 6 months without salary • Able to work with APIs and automation tools, coding helps but isn’t required • You have an owner’s mindset and care about making money for the company, not just completing tasks • Comfortable with the chaos of an early startup and excited to help build from zero If you want to actually build with AI instead of just reading about it, and you like the idea of shaping a company from the ground up, let’s talk.
