This role focuses on performance analysis, troubleshooting, and feature-based enhancements for LTE and 5G networks, ensuring superior network quality and user experience. Detailed Job Description As a 5G/4G RF Optimization Engineer, you will manage end-to-end optimization activities, including KPI-driven improvements, feature trials, and advanced troubleshooting. You will work extensively on Nokia 5G trials and optimization, leveraging technologies such as SRS Beamforming, traffic steering, and load balancing. The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in logging tools, and experience with post-processing and network audits. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance LTE and 5G networks across North America. Key Responsibilities • Lead RF optimization activities for Nokia LTE and 5G networks (NSA/SA, FDD & TDD). • Conduct performance analysis, troubleshooting, and KPI-driven network enhancements. • Execute Nokia 5G trials and optimization, including advanced features like SRS Beamforming and throughput improvement. • Improve LTE/VoLTE performance through feature-based optimization and drop call reduction. • Analyze syslogs, EMIL/DCAP logs, and TTI traces to resolve complex issues. • Perform UE/eNB/gNB signaling analysis (UU, X2, S1) and utilize logging tools (QXDM, XCAL). • Use Actix for post-processing DT logs, KPI analysis, audits, and troubleshooting. • Conduct network design reviews, feature evaluations, and optimization trials. Required Qualifications & Skills • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field. • Strong expertise in 5G NSA/SA and LTE/VoLTE optimization on Nokia networks. • Hands-on experience with Nokia 5G trials and advanced optimization features. • Proficiency in logging tools (QXDM, XCAL) and Actix for post-processing. • Deep understanding of RAN architecture, KPIs, and signaling protocols. • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Nice-to-Have Skills • Experience with multi-vendor environments. • Familiarity with automation and scripting for KPI analysis. • Knowledge of emerging 5G technologies and advanced traffic management strategies. • Exposure to OSS tools and network audit processes.
