Accounts Receivable Specialist (Work Remotely Anywhere in the U.S.)

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is primarily responsible for the management of Businessolver’s financial relationships with clients. The role will perform month-end close duties, including revenue accruals and reconciliations. In addition, this role will prepare client invoices, apply customer payments to accounts and correspond with our clients and client facing teams. The Accounts Receivable specialist will identify opportunities for on-going development of processes impacting our clients. At times, this role will complete special projects assigned by the Corporate Controller or Assistant Controller and may instruct and oversee the day-to-day tasks of Finance and Accounting Interns. The Gig: • Review and process vendor invoices • Prepare month end accruals for open invoices • Prepare month end closing schedules • Support billing team in preparation of client invoicing data • Audit client change order requests and communicate between accounting and operations teams • Audit client billing data for accuracy • Prepare and review client premium audit reports • Process member refunds • Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures What You Need to Make the Cut: • 1 - 2 years accounting experience preferred (recent accounting graduates welcome to apply) • Bachelor degree in accounting, business or related field preferred or equivalent business experience • Strong Microsoft Excel spreadsheet skills • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy – A MUST • Ability to work with (and enjoy!) large amounts of data and detail • Strong communication skills – interdepartmental as well as accounting and finance team members • Problem solving abilities – big picture thinking, trend analysis, and overall ability to be innovative in your approach to situations • Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities at the same time • Readiness and flexibility to change priorities as new developments arise The pay range for this position is 37K to 58K per year (pay to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data).
