Adjunct Faculty - Economics, Finance and Global Business
About the position William Paterson University invites applications for the position of Adjunct Faculty within the Cotsakos College of Business, Department of Economics, Finance and Global Business. Please note that there may not be a vacancy at this time. Rather, qualified applicants may be contacted if and when there is an immediate need, or on an exploratory basis for a future opening. Courses in this department are taught both online and in person. Those generally taught by adjunct faculty include, but are not limited to: Macroeconomics Principles, Microeconomics Principles, Business Statistics I, Business Statistics II, Corporate Finance, Financial Well Being. The Department of Economics, Finance and Global Business offers rigorous study for a Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance, Financial Planning and Global Business as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Minor in Economics. In addition, the department offers an MBA track in Finance and a Master's degree in Finance and Financial Services. The courses offered by the department provide the knowledge and skills required for student success. The finance program prepares students to pursue careers in banking, government, or other financial institutions. The global business program prepares successful graduates to compete in diversified global markets and internationally oriented enterprises. The financial planning program prepares students for the CFP exam. The economics program prepares students for careers in the government and banking sector. Our graduate program in MS Finance and Financial Services is designed to provide appropriate theoretical and applied discipline-based knowledge, hands-on tools including software, technological platforms, and related real-world skill set to educate and empower students to participate in and provide leadership to these important fast emerging fields. Responsibilities • Develop relevant syllabi in order to deploy course content, objectives, and methods of student assessment for up to six (6) credits per semester in an undergraduate course. • Contribute to student success by providing consistent and effective support and guidance through role modeling and mentoring. • Teach in person and/or online depending upon course schedules and department needs. Requirements • MBA or Masters in an applied business discipline. • Five or more years' experience in a managerial capacity. • Full time or part-time employment or active professional practice. • Ability to teach online. Nice-to-haves • Professional certification and/or continuing professional education relevant to business domain. • Professional activity within discipline such as relevant-to-teaching area leadership or managerial role in a business enterprise, non-profit organization or government agency or business professional organization or society. • Experience teaching both online and in person.
