Asset Manager
CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for an Asset Manager within their Intel sector, advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. The Asset Manager oversees an organization's hardware and software assets, managing their full lifecycle from procurement to disposal, while ensuring software license compliance and optimizing asset use to reduce costs. Responsibilities Asset Lifecycle Management: Overseeing IT assets from initial acquisition, through deployment, maintenance, and finally to their secure disposal or retirement Inventory Management: Maintaining a comprehensive and accurate record of all hardware and software assets, including their specifications, location, and status Software License Compliance: Ensuring the organization adheres to software licensing agreements and industry standards, minimizing legal and financial risks Procurement & Vendor Management: Collaborating with various departments and IT vendors to purchase the right hardware, software, and services, often negotiating the best deals Cost Optimization: Identifying opportunities to reduce IT spending through asset standardization, optimizing usage, and managing the asset lifecycle effectively Risk Mitigation: Assessing and minimizing risks associated with IT assets, including cybersecurity risks, software vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps Strategy & Policy Development: Designing, developing, and implementing policies and strategies for effective IT asset management across the organization Documentation & Reporting: Maintaining detailed records and generating reports on asset data to support strategic decision-making and demonstrate value Skills Bachelor's degree and/or 2 to 5 years of experience TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired Strong understanding of IT systems, hardware, and software Excellent management, analytical, and negotiation skills Proficiency in IT asset management software and tools Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with various departments and vendors Experience in asset management, including asset tracking, procurement, and lifecycle management Benefits Competitive compensation Comprehensive insurance options Matching contributions through the 401(k) plan and the share purchase plan Paid time off for vacation, holidays, and sick time Paid parental leave Learning opportunities and tuition assistance Wellness and Well-being programs Company Overview CGI is an IT and business consulting services firm that offers consulting, cyber security, cloud, and IT services.
