Key Responsibilities As an Assistant Manager at U-Haul, you will be responsible for: Running daily operations of the center in the General Manager's absence, ensuring seamless customer service and efficient use of resources. Making moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate projects, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities. Managing and assigning team members to ensure that customers receive an excellent first impression and the highest quality of care. Performing miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, and other equipment. Participating in ongoing continuous education through U-Haul University, staying up-to-date on company policies, procedures, and best practices. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful as an Assistant Manager at U-Haul, you will need: Essential Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Leadership experience in any form, with a proven track record of success in managing teams and driving results. Customer service experience, with a strong focus on providing exceptional service and building customer relationships. The ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a management role, preferably in a similar industry. Experience with inventory management, logistics, and supply chain operations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
