Responsibilities • Conduct financial and compliance audits for various government entities. • Participate in planning and executing audit projects under supervision. • Build and maintain positive working relationships with audit clients. • Provide recommendations for improvement based on audit findings. • Engage in on-the-job training and professional development activities. Requirements • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three college-level accounting courses, or equivalent experience. • 1 year of relevant experience in accounting, auditing, finance, or banking for entry-level positions. • 2 years of relevant experience for Assistant State Auditor 2, with government audit experience preferred. • 3 years of relevant experience for Assistant State Auditor 3, with government audit experience preferred. Nice-to-haves • Experience in government auditing or financial investigations. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Project management experience.
