The Milken Institute is a globally minded nonprofit think tank headquartered in Santa Monica, seeking an Associate to support their Business and Program Development team. This role involves managing relationships with sponsors, supporting conference logistics, and developing knowledge of global financial institutions to enhance partnerships. Responsibilities Support the Milken Institute sponsors throughout the year by managing relationships with key contacts Be responsive to sponsor requests, particularly during major conferences Communicate regularly about logistics of conference engagement and proactively manage relationships Develop a strong knowledge of sponsors' businesses to find and pursue opportunities for relationship growth Maintain engagement with internal and external stakeholders throughout project development Skills A proactive, highly organized, detail-oriented and enthusiastic development professional with a minimum of one to three years of relevant experience in relationship-building, development and/or marketing Ability to manage complex projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment, requiring an ability to effectively prioritize and respond promptly to internal and external communication Eagerness to dive into new tasks and tackle them enthusiastically Innovative problem-solver who can generate workable solutions and resolve issues in a timely fashion Motivated self-starter and hard worker displaying high productivity and follow-through in all areas of responsibility Strong desire to interact with supporters while managing onsite events Seeks out tasks when work is completed and can anticipate needs over time An attitude of 'no job is too small' and attention to detail that ensures rewarding experiences and outcomes for supporters and other stakeholders Team player who works well with colleagues at all levels of an organization, including desire and ability to support relationships with senior-level decision-makers Intellectually curious with a solid understanding of, or eagerness to learn the financial services industry Flexibility to work across time zones around the world Strong oral and written communication skills Bachelor's Degree required Technically savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); Salesforce is a plus Benefits Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) Retirement Plan - 403b (5% match) Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D) Paid Time Off (Personal, Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays) Family Leave (Maternity & Paternity) Fertility Support Short-Term & Long-Term Disability Flexible Spending Account (FSAs) Pet Insurance Discount Training & Development: LinkedIn Learning – over 15,000 self-guided classes offered Annual Mentor Program Wellness Resources: Employee Assistance Program CALM app membership Company Overview The Milken Institute is a nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank focused on accelerating measurable progress on the path to a meaningful life.
