Job Highlights: Company: Stryker Location: Remote Compensation: Competitive salary range of $122,800 to $271,400 per year, plus bonus eligibility Position: Associate Legal Counsel Start Date: Immediate openings available Key Responsibilities: As Stryker Emergency Care's Associate Legal Counsel, you will play a critical role in supporting our business operations and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Your key responsibilities will include: Proactively handling a broad range of legal and compliance matters associated with the business, including medical device regulations, data privacy, competition law, anti-corruption/anti-bribery laws, liability avoidance, sales, marketing, and research related issues Working closely with Division Counsel on various legal and strategy business issues, including drafting, editing, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, such as Sales, Services, Supply, Distribution, Consulting, Clinical Study, Non-Disclosure, and other contracts Providing time-sensitive, solutions-oriented strategy support to internal and external stakeholders, which could have a large financial impact on the company Reviewing advertising and marketing materials for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies Exhibiting solid negotiation skills, including comfort in negotiating contractual terms with customers Building and maintaining strong relationships with sales, finance, operations, and other key stakeholders across the decentralized organization Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of Stryker Emergency Care product lines, competitive environment, and customers to better support functional initiatives and provide recommendations to internal stakeholders Identifying system or process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce cost Working cross-functionally to achieve corporate objectives and create contract solutions that minimize risk and provide value to Emergency Care Requirements and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: A law degree and admission to practice law 8+ years of experience, with 3+ years of relevant legal work experience preferred Experience in a law firm strongly preferred Background in life sciences, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medtech experience strongly preferred Commercial contracting support and privacy background experience strongly preferred Skills and Competencies: To excel in this role, you will need to possess: Excellent negotiation and communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial contracting principles Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits: At Stryker, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
