About the position Position exists in the Medical Department. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating audiological services for clients at Porterville Developmental Center (PDC) by administering specialized measuring devices and tests for identification of hearing impairment to the developmentally disabled. Under direction, administers diagnostic tests to identify clients with hearing impairment and to determine the nature and extent of hearing disorders. This position is not eligible for telework, this position is in person only. Responsibilities • Coordinate audiological services for clients at Porterville Developmental Center. • Administer specialized measuring devices and tests for identification of hearing impairment. • Conduct diagnostic tests to identify clients with hearing impairment. • Determine the nature and extent of hearing disorders. Requirements • Possession of a valid license to practice audiology in California. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance. • Sufficient agility, endurance, and sensory ability to perform job duties.
