Job title: Cyber Security SME Company: BigBear.ai Job description: Job Description: Overview BigBear.ai is seeking a Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our growing San Antonio, TX Team. This position will be in support of an upcoming contract award supporting the US Air Force, and is expected to start in September/October 2022. This position will be based out of San Antonio, Texas and offers remote / telework flexibility. Candidates will be expected to report "on-site" 1-2 days per week. What you will do • Provides technical and programmatic Information Assurance Services to internal and external customers in support of network and information security systems. • Designs, develops and implements security requirements within an organization’s business processes. • Prepares documentation from information obtained from customer using accepted guidelines such as DITSCAP (DoD Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process). • Prepares Security Test and Evaluation plans. • Provides certification and accreditation support in the development of security and contingency plans and conducts complex risk and vulnerability assessments. • Analyzes policies and procedures against Federal laws and regulations and provides recommendations for closing gaps. • Develops and completes system security plans and contingency plans. • Recommends system enhancements to improve security deficiencies. • Develops, tests and integrates computer and network security tools. • Secures system configurations and installs security tools, scans systems in order to determine compliancy and report results and evaluates products and various aspects of system administration. • Conducts security program audits and develops solutions to lessen identified risks. • Develops strategies to comply with privacy, risk management, and e-authentication requirements. • Provides information assurance support for the development and implementation of security architectures to meet new and evolving security requirements. • Evaluates, develops and enhances security requirements, policy and tools. • Provides assistance in computer incident investigations. • Performs vulnerability assessments including development of risk mitigation strategies. What you need to have • Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility • BA/BS degree with 8+ years of experience, or; • Advanced Degree (MA/MS) with 6+ years of experience, or; • PhD with 3+ years of experience • Advanced levels of education (MA/MS or PhD) may be used to substitute some years of experience, pending approval • Must have an active CompTIA Security+ certification • Extensive Risk Management Framework and cybersecurity risk assessment experience. • Demonstrated experience in the following: • Zero trust architectures (Beyond Corp/SDP) • NIST 800 53 • NIST 800 190 • Kubernetes Environments • Istio • Writing necessary Cyber Security documentation, publications and guidance • Demonstrated characteristics of a self-starter who can work independently and effectively interact with program team members and senior leadership • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team • Excellent writing and presentation skills What we'd like you to have • Possess an active TS/SCI clearance • Advanced degree (MA/MS or PhD) • Possess an active Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Level III certification: • CISSP (or Associate) • CISM • GSLC • CCISO About BigBear.ai BigBear.ai delivers AI-powered analytics and cyber engineering solutions to support mission-critical operations and decision-making in complex, real-world environments.
