Business / Data Analyst – QA Specialist

Matrix Global is seeking a highly skilled Business / Data Analyst – QA Specialist with a strong combination of business analysis, data analysis, and quality assurance experience. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the Technology and Business teams to identify, analyze, and resolve issues related to data quality, business processes, and system functionality.This is a hybrid role requiring in-person presence in our New Jersey office three days per week.Key Responsibilities:Partner with technology and business teams to analyze and resolve data, process, and system-related issues.Perform detailed business and data analysis to identify root causes, discrepancies, and process improvement opportunities.Gather and document business and functional requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications.Develop and execute QA test cases, data validation scripts, and regression testing to ensure quality and accuracy of deliverables.Validate data flows and business logic across multiple systems to ensure end-to-end integrity.Support the development and enhancement of AML-related systems and workflows (Actimize knowledge is a plus).Maintain comprehensive documentation — including requirements, test plans, issue logs, and process maps.Work collaboratively across teams to ensure timely issue resolution, system stability, and continuous improvement.Required Qualifications:5+ years of combined experience in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, and QA/Testing roles.Strong understanding of data analysis, data quality, and business process workflows.Proficiency in SQL for data validation, investigation, and reconciliation.Experience with data mapping, lineage analysis, and root cause identification.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Must be local to the NY/NJ area and able to work onsite in NJ three times per week (mandatory).Preferred Skills:Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) processes and regulatory requirements.Familiarity with Actimize or other AML/compliance platforms.Experience working in financial services or other regulated environments.Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and Agile delivery methodologies.Soft Skills:Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Self-motivated and proactive in identifying and resolving issues.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work across business and technical teams.Matrix Global Services is a leading multinational corporation that provides innovative and comprehensive solutions in technology, consulting, and outsourcing.
