Business Development Representative

CHAMP is redefining technology for Motor Vehicle Agencies with innovative cloud-based software. They are seeking a driven Business Development Representative to generate qualified leads and create a new business pipeline within government agencies. Responsibilities Conduct outbound outreach (email, phone, LinkedIn, events) to federal, state, and local government agencies Research and map agency structures, decision-makers, and procurement cycles to identify the right contacts Maintain a high daily/weekly cadence of outreach aligned with measurable activity metrics Engage with prospects to understand pain points, workflows, and modernization needs Deliver clear value propositions and product messaging tailored to government audiences Assess lead quality and schedule discovery calls or demos for Account Executives Work closely with the Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to refine messaging, share market insights, and improve lead quality Update CRM systems (e.g. Confluence) with accurate activity logs and pipeline data Participate in weekly pipeline reviews and contribute to sales forecasting Develop expertise in our GovTech SaaS platform, government procurement processes, and regulatory environments Stay informed of agency modernization priorities, grant funding opportunities, and industry trends Skills 1–3 years of sales, business development, or customer-facing experience (SaaS or GovTech preferred) Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to speak to public-sector audiences High level of organization, persistence, and self-motivation Experience with CRM software (e.g. Confluence) Ability to learn quickly and articulate technical concepts in simple terms Experience selling into government agencies or familiarity with government procurement processes which can often have long sales cycles Knowledge of public sector operations, compliance standards, or digital transformation initiatives Track record of meeting or exceeding activity-based metrics Benefits Be a part of a driven, dynamic, and innovative team Competitive Salary Year-end Bonus Potential Matching 401K Hybrid Work Environment Generous PTO Policy Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Company Overview SaaS solutions to create, manage and transfer digital vehicle titles for insurance carriers, lenders, state govt, vehicle retailers and OEMs It was founded in 2018, and is headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, with a workforce of 51-200 employees.
