As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will lead in gathering requirements, analyzing data, developing impactful reports, dashboards, and visualizations to drive PayPal's servicing experience strategy. Servicing Experience is the largest workforce in PayPal, helping millions of customers around the world. The Core Experience Analytics team helps leaders understand and manage a complex business and customer experience landscape. Insights range from operational performance to customer experience and product and technology enablement. Responsibilities • Lead in gathering requirements, analyzing data, programming data models, developing impactful reports, dashboards, and visualizations. • Conduct rigorous data analysis to drive meaningful financial benefit for PayPal. • Perform deep dive analysis including Causal Inference analysis, Pre-Post analysis, Sensitivity analysis, financial projections and other ad-hoc analysis. • Synthesize large volumes of data and develop data models to enable development of key business metrics. • Clean, manipulate, and merge data from diverse datasets to create compelling data stories. • Collaborate with product engineering and data engineering to enable feature tracking and resolve complex data issues. • Partner with data engineers, product engineers and data scientists to build robust data structures. • Collaborate with cross-functional analytics teams for exploratory data analyses to guide customer experience strategy. • Partner closely with product leaders to understand new product offerings and recommend metrics to measure performance. • Define and cultivate best practices in analytics instrumentation and experimentation. • Design and develop high-quality dashboards and analytical tools for delivering insights. • Support multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment. Requirements • 7+ years of experience analyzing large, multi-dimensional data sets and synthesizing insights into actionable solutions. • 7+ years of recent SQL development (like Teradata, Big Query) and scripting languages (like Python, R). • 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in software engineering, business intelligence or data analysis. • Strong experience using Jupyter Notebooks and scripting to perform data analytics. • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline. • Proven understanding of commercial product data and how to leverage it for business decisions. • Working knowledge in relevant reporting technologies: Tableau, Looker. • Understanding of statistics (e.g. regression, correlation, hypothesis testing, statistical inference). • Understanding of designing and evaluating complex experiments (A/B Testing). • Prior work experience in a product analytics space would be highly valued. • Excellent collaboration and partnership skills for working across organizations and cultures. • Strong communication and presentation skills.
