Church Partnerships Facilitator

Position Summary: The objective of the Church Partnerships Team is to strengthen relationships between Pioneers and sending/supporting churches as we field missionaries together. The facilitator seeks to fulfill the team objective to strengthen the local church to fulfill their role in reaching the unreached. We do this by relationally nourishing and challenging church mission leaders as they raise up, train, send and support their people. We are to be a listening ear and encouraging voice of Pioneers. Qualifications: • Must live in the state of Texas and be able to work remotely • Committed to global missions and overall vision of Pioneers. • Must practice and support the relevant elements of the US Mobilization Base Manual and Church Partnerships Team Manual. • Ability to work effectively without close supervision while maintaining team relationships. • Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Administrative and technical skills. • Ability to use the telephone, email, and other communication tools for effective and regular contact with local churches, field, and leadership, including sensitivity to security concerns. • Experience with and love for the local church in North America; credibility with local church leadership and sensitivity to current issues and diverse expressions of the church. • Training in Bible, theology, and cross-cultural ministry; graduate studies and significant experience with cross-cultural service desirable but not required. • Ability to speak publicly and present the ministry of Pioneers and the Great Commission. Responsibilities: • ***Must be responsible for securing and sustaining their own financial support through Pioneers**** • Develop and execute a regional strategy for serving local churches. • Proactively communicate and cultivate relationship with churches in our region. • Conduct timely follow-up and database documentation of church communication. • Actively participate in Church Partner Forums, face-to-face and distance team meetings, and, as appropriate, new candidate committees. • Communication with church contacts at key times (ex: appointment of new candidates, times of crisis or significant changes in assignment, home assignment, resignations, and retirement, etc. as well as times of leadership change or other significant change in the local church). • Facilitate connections between church leaders and the appropriate members of other mobilization base teams and personnel. • Help identify and build relationships with local churches that have the desire to pursue alternative or experimental sending strategies, ex: church-based teams, Edge, Venture, Marketplace, etc. • Be aware of and recommend resources, strategies, and services to help churches in their global outreach efforts and respond, as appropriate, to opportunities to teach, consult or coach church leaders in their mission strategies. • Other duties as assigned that are in line with job position and qualifications Physical Demands: • Able to sit at computer or desk for extended periods of time. • Able to travel overseas and domestically into difficult areas of the world.
