Consultant / Senior Consultant – Supply Chain Design
About the position We are seeking a motivated Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our Supply Chain Design practice. This role focuses on supporting and delivering strategic supply chain transformation projects—through data-driven insights, network design, and optimization modeling. You will work alongside experienced consultants and project managers to analyze client supply chains, contribute to solution design, and present actionable recommendations. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience with modeling tools, and an eagerness to grow in a fast-paced consulting environment. Responsibilities • Contribute to strategic supply chain design projects, including data analysis, scenario modeling, and cost-benefit assessments. • Participate in client workshops and interviews to understand current-state operations and future-state goals. • Collaborate on modeling efforts using tools like Coupa Supply Chain Design (LLamasoft), AIMMS, or Optilogic. • Structure and validate data sets to support robust supply chain models. • Assist in developing network strategies (site location, inventory policies, transportation flows). • Translate modeling results into insights that support practical, actionable recommendations. • Prepare clear, well-structured presentations and reports for client delivery. • Support project managers in facilitating stakeholder alignment and implementation readiness. • Work in cross-functional teams on multi-phase projects. • Actively participate in internal knowledge sharing and methodology improvement. • Develop technical and consulting skills through formal Miebach training and on-the-job mentorship. Requirements • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or related fields. • 2–6 years of relevant experience in supply chain design, analytics, or consulting. • Familiarity with supply chain modeling tools. • Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of SQL or Python is a plus. • Clear communication and structured problem-solving abilities. • Collaborative, curious, and proactive in learning and taking on new challenges. • Able to travel up to 30–40% based on project needs. Nice-to-haves • Exposure to network modeling or optimization tools (e.g., Coupa, AIMMS, Optilogic) is highly preferred. • Prior consulting, logistics, or analytics internships are a plus. • Data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) are a strong asset.
