Contracts Administrator (Remote)
About the position The Contracts Administrator at Technology Service Corporation (TSC) is a remote-based role focused on managing and administering contracts within the defense sector. The position requires a subject matter expert to assist program managers and business unit leaders in achieving their financial and contractual goals. The administrator will work closely with program leadership to negotiate favorable terms, ensure compliance with regulations, and manage a diverse portfolio of contracts. Responsibilities • Build successful partnerships with program leadership to understand program and contract needs while negotiating favorable terms and conditions. • Meet department metrics tracking contract value, ceiling, modifications, deliverables, and processing timeframes. • Reduce risks through negotiation of key terms and clarifying conditions in proposals or agreements. • Administer routine and complex agreements, including FFP, T&M, Cost-type, IDIQs, and OTAs. • Engage diplomatically with colleagues and counterparties. • Demonstrate technical ability and professional curiosity to take ownership of outcomes. • Effectively resolve challenges and be a reliable resource to supported programs. • Understand TSC's business model and culture, including programs, customers, and internal stakeholders. • Comprehensively administer contractual commitments for the assigned contracts portfolio. • Support proposal preparation by examining solicitation requirements and analyzing terms and conditions for risks. • Process new awards and modifications, maintaining accurate contract records in the Contract Management System. • Prepare negotiation strategies for clients to establish performance and contractual guidelines. • Lead contract administration from requirements definition through contract close-out. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Contract Administration, or related field. • Successful, demonstrated full life cycle contract administration experience. • US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a secret level security clearance. • Experience with both prime contractor issued subcontracts and DoD issued prime contracts. Nice-to-haves • Demonstrated knowledge of FAR and DFAR regulations in the Aerospace & Defense industry. • Knowledge of standard contract management practices. • Experience preparing cost proposals, cost narratives, and compliance matrixes. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. • Experience in problem solving with vague guidance and no precedence. • Ability to communicate effectively across the organization and with diverse teams. • Professional certification in Contract Management preferred. • Deltek Costpoint experience (Contract Management Module). • Microsoft SharePoint experience.
