Position Summary: Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Cost Accountant will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting and Business Plan Prep for Trumark Homes Northern California division. The Cost Accountant will interact closely with all members of the Northern California team and will be responsible for budget reports, assisting in Business Plan preparation and have an active role in pre-acquisition modeling. Responsibilities: Provide direct financial support to the Northern California homebuilding division. Specific duties include but are not limited to: • Interact with all departments for updated budget reporting. • Tracking pre-acquisition budgets to actuals. • Assist in gathering pre-land acquisition materials and prepare for land committee. • Prepare updated budgets within cash flows for Business Plan Reports. • Track revenues for updated proforma modeling. • Communicate with Purchasing for the latest direct cost pricing. Qualifications: • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred. 2-3 years experience in finance or accounting. • Highly developed attention to detail • The ability to clearly and effectively communicate (oral and written) as well as being proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required • Software experience with NewStar or InformXL is preferred, or any other homebuilder-specific accounting system Why Work for Trumark? • Work with a team that values you!
