About This Team and Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst with strong Tableau expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a visualization specialist responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. This role requires a heavy emphasis on end-to-end dashboard creation: connecting disparate data sources, implementing robust data models, designing intuitive user interfaces, and deploying high-impact, interactive reports using Tableau Desktop and Server/Cloud. You will leverage your strong problem-solving skills and data storytelling ability to transform raw data into visually compelling and easily digestible business intelligence solutions. What You’ll Do Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources through writing SQL queries and integrating 3rd Party data sources Optimize SQL queries, data sources, and dashboards to improve performance and ensure fast response times, especially for large volumes of data Competency in using advanced calculations, statistical functions, level of detail (LOD) expressions and table calculations Ability to create parameters, user controls, and worksheet actions Develop, maintain, and optimize Tableau dashboards, visualizations, and reports using customer feedback Analyze data trends, patterns, and key metrics to identify business opportunities and areas for improvement Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define reporting requirements and deliver insights Ability to understand business requirements and provide actionable insights Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting systems Stay updated with industry best practices in business intelligence What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role Strong Tableau skills (dashboard design, calculated fields, parameters, level of detail (LOD) expressions, performance optimization) Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation, including MS SQL Server and Oracle database Experience identifying patterns and trends with datasets Solid understanding of data modeling, KPIs, and metrics Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Excellent communication and data storytelling abilities Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with Python, R, or other statistical/analytics tools Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts Familiarity with other BI tools (Power BI) Verra Mobility Values An ideal candidate for this role naturally works in alignment with the Verra Mobility Core Values: Own It.
