Job Summary As a Customer Service Representative/Merchandiser, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support in a fast-paced retail environment. You'll be the first point of contact for our customers, handling transactions, addressing customer inquiries, and ensuring that our stores are well-stocked and visually appealing. Key Responsibilities Customer Service Excellence: Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries regarding products and services. Provide accurate and timely information to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. Sales and Transaction Processing: Process sales transactions efficiently using cash registers or POS systems, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Product Knowledge and Merchandising: Maintain knowledge of store promotions, products, and services to effectively sell and upsell items. Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels to ensure product availability. Customer Complaint Resolution: Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, striving for effective resolutions and ensuring customer satisfaction. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to create a positive shopping experience for all customers. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of new ideas and initiatives. Store Appearance and Maintenance: Ensure that the store is well-maintained, clean, and organized. Assist with visual merchandising and ensure that the store is visually appealing to customers. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Previous Experience: Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred. If you have experience in customer service or sales, that's a plus! Cash Handling and POS Systems: Familiarity with cash registers, POS systems, and cash handling procedures is essential. Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective customer interaction. Attention to Detail: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and ensuring accuracy in transactions. Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual Candidates: Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply as this can enhance customer service capabilities. Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in customer service or a related field is an asset. Merchandising Experience: Experience with visual merchandising or store displays is a plus.
