Job Summary We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team. As a remote work-from-home representative, you will provide exceptional telephone support to patients receiving specialty medications. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, verify benefits, and communicate with patients, insurance companies, and internal teams to resolve any issues that may arise. Key Responsibilities: Provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy, addressing their concerns and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and reviving benefits. Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Communicate with patients to collect copay amounts, obtain authorizations, and address any financial or clinical concerns. Collaborate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders that have accounts receivable or clinical issues. Utilize superb communication skills to effectively interact with patients, insurance companies, and internal partners, ensuring that financial and clinical expectations are met prior to fulfillment. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone. One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications. One year of computer keyboarding experience, with strong skills and aptitude. Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology.
