DATA & ANALYTICS DIRECTOR Cross Catholic Outreach is a Catholic ministry with an ecumenical staff of Catholic, Protestant, and Eastern Orthodox believers working in unity to provide food, water, housing, education, orphan support, medical care, micro-enterprise, and disaster relief and the love of our Lord Jesus Christ to the poorest of the poor in more than 30 countries around the world. Position Title: Data & Analytics Director Department: Technology & Data Strategy Position Location: Remote Reports to: AVP of Technology & Data Strategy Position Summary: The Director of Data & Analytics is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing enterprise data strategy, business intelligence, and analytics functions across the organization, with a focus on supporting fundraising, engagement, and mission-driven decision-making. This role ensures high-quality data governance, promotes a culture of data-informed decision-making, and oversees data architecture, data analytics, and reporting capabilities. The Director plays a key role in shaping enterprise data architecture, governance, and ensuring the availability and usability of data for key stakeholders, and serves as a bridge ensuring alignment between data systems and ministry goals. Educational or Certification Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field. Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related discipline preferred. Experience Requirements: · 8+ years in analytics, business intelligence, or data management, with 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in a nonprofit, higher education, or related mission-driven organization. · Demonstrated leadership of data governance, analytics or reporting teams (in a nonprofit preferred) · Experience managing data teams and working in cross-functional environments. · Experience managing data platforms, enterprise reporting, and data integration projects · Familiarity with fundraising, advancement, or CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce NPSP, Microsoft Dynamics, Raiser’s Edge) preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Character Required: · Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ; maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of the ministry. · Feels a calling to serve God through serving Cross Catholic Outreach in this capacity. · Believes in and supports the mission and ministry of Cross Catholic Outreach, and agrees with the conduct policies and conduct expectations of Cross Catholic Outreach. · Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable insights. · Proven expertise in data architecture, governance, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) · Familiarity with data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and commitment to ethical data practices. · Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern data stack tools (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran) preferred. · Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders · Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills · Strategic thinker with strong analytical and decision-making abilities · Collaborative, mission-oriented, and adaptable to a changing technology landscape Duties: • Develop and lead the enterprise data and analytics strategy aligned with organizational goals. • Partner with senior leadership to define KPIs and reporting frameworks to support decision-making. • Lead data initiatives supporting fundraising, digital engagement, finance, and operations. • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team. • Manage a team of data engineers, analysts, and BI developers. • Provide mentorship and development opportunities to team members. • Oversee the development and maintenance of data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses. • Ensure strong data governance practices, including metadata management, quality assurance, and privacy compliance. • Collaborate with IT to manage infrastructure and integration of data systems. • Lead the development of dashboards, reports, and ad hoc analyses for internal stakeholders. • Drive data literacy and empower teams through access to self-service reporting and dashboards • Design and implement a structured intake process for analytics and reporting requests from internal stakeholders • Develop a centralized request system (e.g., service portal, intake form, or ticketing system) to track status, timelines, and priorities • Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify business needs and translate them into actionable data deliverables • Maintain transparency through request tracking dashboards, SLAs, and regular status updates and ensure high-quality, consistent, and timely delivery. • Establish prioritization criteria to align report development with strategic and operational priorities • Ensure data products are accurate, timely, and user-friendly. • Act as a strategic partner to Development, Finance, Programs, and other teams. • Align data strategies with CRM and digital systems to ensure consistency and interoperability. • Support organizational performance monitoring and impact reporting. · Other duties as assigned Job Type: Full-time Pay: $114,000.00 - $123,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Flexible spending account • Health savings account • Life insurance • Vision insurance Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job
