We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Data Engineer to join our team. This role requires expertise in designing and implementing data models, developing infrastructure scripts, and ensuring seamless integration with various data tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metadata management, data quality assurance, and unit testing to support business use cases effectively. Responsibilities • Document and script data models to support business use cases. • Develop infrastructure scripts to build databases, tables, and metadata. • Perform unit tests to ensure data integrity and reliability. • Integrate with data lineage tools like data world and visualization tools like Power BI. • Identify and communicate data quality issues in source systems. • Maintain and manage metadata across data assets. Requirements • Strong experience in Snowflake and cloud-based data warehousing. • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other scripting languages for data transformation and automation. • Experience with metadata management and data governance best practices. • Knowledge of data integration tools and best practices for data lineage tracking. • Familiarity with Power BI or similar visualization tools for reporting. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Nice-to-haves • Experience with data.world or similar data lineage tools. • Familiarity with ETL/ELT pipelines and data ingestion techniques. • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data engineering.
